AdSense Blogging - WordPress AdSense System

0 comments

Google AdSense has been talked about, hyped about and even criticized over the past year. At the same time, WordPress has emerged as one of the leading blogging platforms used by almost all A-list bloggers. What do these two have in common?

I just came across Gobala Krishnan’s “WordPress AdSense System” course that combines the two, showing you how to create “autopilot sites” that make money from AdSense:

wordpress adsense system

Here’s my review of the product, and why you should get yourself a copy.

(1) Overall Impression

When I read that this product has been selling well since 2006, I was pretty relieved. That’s because most ebook guides fizzle out and get outdated within six months. Gobala actually updates this guide from time to time to keep current with all the changes taking place in the blogging world. In fact according to Gobala the only changes he makes are the screenshots and URLs - the tactics and strategies he mentions in the book don’t need to be updates are they are time-tested and will work for anyone, for the foreseeable future.

(2) The E-book Guide and Tips

Flipping through the main e-book guide (over 150 pages), I find that the earlier sections are perfect for the absolute newbie. It explains in detail common blogging terms, how blogging works, and what to expect when starting a blog. Then Gobala goes into more technical, advanced stuff including how to transform a WordPress blog into a static website, how to optimize your blog, and also how to get traffic to your blog.

Even if you’re not new to Google AdSense or WordPress, you can find a lot of useful information in here.

(3) AdSense-ready WordPress Themes

This was what actually caught my eye in the first place - 30 super-cool looking WordPress themes that are “AdSense ready”. This means that the AdSense codes have already been placed in the theme in strategic locations. All you need to do is enter your AdSense publisher IDs and you’re done.

I think the theme alone are worth more than what the entire system costs, and by looking at them I’m sure they can generate quite decent click-throughs for your blog if you were using them. After all with Google AdSense you make more money when you (1) get more traffic or (2) get more clicks.

(4) Keyword Research Tools

A simple but useful keyword research tool is also included in WordPress AdSense System. Keyword research is extremely important if you’re trying to build auto-pilot AdSense blogs since most of your traffic will be from search engines like Google. You need to make sure you’re targeting the correct keywords before you write your first blog post!

The package also includes “180 Profitable AdSense Niche Keywords”, which is a heavy MS Excel sheet containing thousands of keywords Gobala has researched before. Of course you cannot depend on this data alone, but it’s a good place to kickoff some ideas of your own. There are literally thousands of niche markets out there you can tap into that are probably easier to make money in that the niche you’re in right now.

(5) My Conclusion and Recommendation

I’m pretty satisfied with WordPress AdSense System by Gobala Krishnan. I’ve bought a few such courses before but Gobala’s course doesn’t disappoint. In fact I found it easy to read and follow. There are also a lot of video tutorials you can watch where Gobala shows you step-by-step, exactly what you need to do.

20 Blog Directories

0 comments

I recently came across this great list over at Search Engine Journal that listed (and described) the top 20 directories that you should submit your blog to. Some of the directories offer free submissions, but some do have fees. There are also several that won’t accept blogs with short histories. Either way, I highly recommend that you submit your blog to as many of the 20 as possible to improve traffic and SEO.

Optimizing Your Anchor Text

0 comments
Most bloggers know the importance of building backlinks to their posts and blog, but many aren’t fully taking advantage of many of the links they develop because they aren’t optimizing their anchor text. The anchor text is simply the actual text that is used for the link. It gets the name “anchor text” because it sits between the anchor tags of the link’s HTML coding.

So, what does make a good anchor text? You want to do your best to include your targeted keyword(s) in the link text whenever possible. Avoid keyword stuffing that results in unnatural sounding text, but if you can use the keywords, go for it. When the search engines find these backlinks to your blog, they will associate the blog with the anchor text and this will boost your rankings in the search engines for these terms.

My favorite way to create great text links is to write the text as if there was no link at all. Then I go back and add the link into the text and anchor it with the most relevant term in the text that I wrote. This method helps to ensure that the content of the page is as natural as possible. Search engines love natural looking links.

One of the most common mistakes that is made is to use action statements like “click here” or “visit the website” as the anchor text for a link. This sort of link can still help pass PageRank to your page, but it won’t do much in terms of moving your page up in the search rankings. Try to put the link on the more descriptive words, not on the actions.

0 comments
Another great hack that will boost your current click through rates ! You will be able to show your ads ( adsense , Chitika ,Yahoo and other ads) in the middle of your blog posts! This is really amazing ! Let me show you how to this :

Adding Codes to Template

Now go to your template codes expand widgets and find the codes below

Now replace the codes above with the line lines below

<div expr:id=""aim1" + data:post.id"></div>
  • <div style="margin: 10px 0pt; clear: both;">
  •
  • <!-- Your AdSense code here -->
  • </div>
  • <div expr:id=""aim2" + data:post.id">
  •
  • <data:post.body>
  • </data:post.body></div>
  •
  • <script type="text/javascript">
  • var obj0=document.getElementById("aim1<data:post.id/>");
  • var obj1=document.getElementById("aim2<data:post.id/>");
  • var s=obj1.innerHTML;
  • var t=s.substr(0,s.length/2);
  • var r=t.lastIndexOf(" ");
  • if(r>0) {obj0.innerHTML=s.substr(0,r);obj1.innerHTML=s.substr(r+1);}
  • </script>

    Now encode your Adsense codes from her
    and add after the line below

    Working demo here

    Preview template , if its OK save it !
  • Share Adsense Revenue with Fellow Bloggers

    0 comments
    Maintaining a blog is a hectic job and specially when you are n’t a professional blogger ! The main problem you may face while blogging part-time , is the few number of posts than a professional blogger . Many bloggers teams up with others and hence their mutual effort makes the blog much frequently updated . But , the biggest problem with multi-author blog is “Adsense Revenue Share” . The WordPress plateform has many plug-ins which easily manage the revenue share. But , Blogger ( BlogSpot ) users have no easier way to handle this case. GoSuBlogger has already explained that how one can manage such revenue share program ( see here ).
    There is one problem with the previous hack : You were forced to change your display name to your Adsense Publisher ID. This is very unpleasant for all of us, because display name is something which is the identity of Author specially with Multi-Author blogs. So, here is another hack which will remove the above problem without changing the display name !

    To implement this hack on your blogger blog , follow these simple steps :

    To implement this hack on your blogger blog , follow these simple steps :

    1. Ask your team bloggers for their Adsense code and Display name.

    2. Go to “Edit HTML” section.

    3. Now , check the “Expand Widget Templates”.

    4. Look for tag . You can use Ctrl+F to search this.

    5. Now, do coding according to the image :

    Let’s understand the above coding. We are going to use tag, which is the conditional tag and using this we can use simple if-else logic in our template. The first line
    view plaincopy to clipboardprint?

    1.

    checks for the post page ( the individual page of the post ) .

    Second line
    view plaincopy to clipboardprint?

    1.

    checks if the Author is “David“. Here David is the display name of the first author. If the condition is “true” , viz; author is David the code inside the and tags will be displayed. Hence, the Adsense ads will be displayed from David’s Account . Similarly the code flow will go for the another author Techpyala here ! You can add as many as authors as you like !

    Now you can copy the revenue sharing codes from the table below,if you want to show your ads in the beginning of your posts just paste codes before post.body tag or if you want to show ads at the bottom paste the codes after post.body tag,you can also add the codes both before and after post.body code to show ads both bottom and begining of your posts which is more profitable.Do not forget to encode your adsense or any other ad codes here and then put the encoded ad codes to the line specified as ///////////// AUTHOR-NAME1 AD CODE ////////////////////
    view plaincopy to clipboardprint?

    1.
    2.
    3.
    4.
    5. ///////////// AUTHOR-NAME1 AD CODE ////////////////////
    6.
    7.

    8.
    9.
    10. ///////////// AUTHOR-NAME2 AD CODE ////////////////////
    11.
    12.

    13.
    14.

    ///////////// AUTHOR-NAME1 AD CODE ////////////////////

    ///////////// AUTHOR-NAME2 AD CODE ////////////////////

    Adsense Revenue Sharing Hack For Blogger

    0 comments
    How This Hack Works

    Simply each writer will earn from the article he/she posts. A person’s Adsense ads will be published in his posts and B person’s ads in his posts. Theres nothing against to Google Adsense Term of Use.

    Things To Do

    * Each blogger has to change their display name to enable Adsense revenue sharing hack.Click Edit Profile from your dashboard and instead of your name , type your own unique Adsense Published ID like the picture below :

    * We have to use old Adsense codes since new Adsense codes arent compatible with this hack , new ad slot feature of Adsense makes ads invisible thats why we use Adsense old codes . Heres Adsense old codes we will be adding soon , you can change colors , width and height of ad code depending on other Adsense ad sizes :

    <script type="text/javascript"><!–
    google_ad_client="pub-";
    google_ad_width=336;
    google_ad_height=280;
    google_ad_format="336×280_as";
    google_ad_type="text";
    google_color_border="ECF4FC";
    google_color_bg="ECF4FC";
    google_color_link="477FBA";
    google_color_url="999999";
    google_color_text="000000";
    //–></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    * Don’t put Adsense ads to sidebars or main page since the pub-ids on post pages and on the sidebars will be different it may cause problem. You better ad chitika or other ads.

    Adding Code to Template.

    We will add the codes to post bottom if you want to see ads at the end of post or the top of post if you want to see ads in the beginning , that depends on your desire .

    Now go to your template codes , expand widgets and find the line below

    Heres the Ad codes you need to add

    <script type="text/javascript"><!–
    google_ad_client="pub-";
    google_ad_width=336;
    google_ad_height=280;
    google_ad_format="336×280_as";
    google_ad_type="text";
    google_color_border="ECF4FC";
    google_color_bg="ECF4FC";
    google_color_link="477FBA";
    google_color_url="999999";
    google_color_text="000000";
    //–></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    Thats all , if you want a working demo for this hack check different pages from the links below and show source code then search as ” pub- ” you will see different publisher ids.
